Отвечает Мельник Анна.

1) 15:3=5(пл) - скорила одна закройщица;

2) 12:3=4( пл)- скорила  вторая закройщица;

3) 5+4=9( пл ).

Ответ: всего 9 платьев скорили обе закройщицы.

                                 2 способ

1) 15+12=27( м ) - ткани у обеих;

2) 27:3=9( пл) .

Ответ: всего 9 платьев скорили обе закройщицы.

Problem Statement

У одной закройщицы было 15 м ткани, а у другой 12 м. Из этой ткани они скроили платья, расходуя на каждое по 3 м ткани. Сколько всего платьев они скроили?

Solution 1: Using Division

To solve this problem, we can divide the total amount of fabric available by the amount of fabric used for each dress. Let's calculate the number of dresses each seamstress made using this method.

The first seamstress had 15 meters of fabric, and each dress required 3 meters. Therefore, the first seamstress made 15 / 3 = 5 dresses.

The second seamstress had 12 meters of fabric, and each dress required 3 meters. Therefore, the second seamstress made 12 / 3 = 4 dresses.

To find the total number of dresses made by both seamstresses, we add the number of dresses made by each seamstress: 5 + 4 = 9 dresses.

Therefore, the two seamstresses made a total of 9 dresses.

Solution 2: Using Subtraction

Another way to solve this problem is by subtracting the amount of fabric used for each dress from the total amount of fabric available until there is not enough fabric left to make another dress. Let's calculate the number of dresses each seamstress made using this method.

The first seamstress had 15 meters of fabric. After making the first dress, she used 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 15 - 3 = 12 meters of fabric. She can make another dress with this remaining fabric. After making the second dress, she used another 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 12 - 3 = 9 meters of fabric. She can make another dress with this remaining fabric. After making the third dress, she used another 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 9 - 3 = 6 meters of fabric. She can make another dress with this remaining fabric. After making the fourth dress, she used another 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 6 - 3 = 3 meters of fabric. She can make one more dress with this remaining fabric. After making the fifth dress, she used the last 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 0 meters of fabric. Therefore, the first seamstress made a total of 5 dresses.

The second seamstress had 12 meters of fabric. After making the first dress, she used 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 12 - 3 = 9 meters of fabric. She can make another dress with this remaining fabric. After making the second dress, she used another 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 9 - 3 = 6 meters of fabric. She can make another dress with this remaining fabric. After making the third dress, she used another 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 6 - 3 = 3 meters of fabric. She can make one more dress with this remaining fabric. After making the fourth dress, she used the last 3 meters of fabric, leaving her with 0 meters of fabric. Therefore, the second seamstress made a total of 4 dresses.

To find the total number of dresses made by both seamstresses, we add the number of dresses made by each seamstress: 5 + 4 = 9 dresses.

Therefore, the two seamstresses made a total of 9 dresses.

Modifying the Problem

To make the problem unsolvable using both methods, we can modify the numbers in the problem statement. For example, if we change the amount of fabric available for the first seamstress to 16 meters and the amount of fabric available for the second seamstress to 13 meters, the problem cannot be solved using both division and subtraction methods.
