Task 1: Calculating the Amount of Money the Customer Had

To solve this problem, we need to set up an equation based on the given information.

Let's assume the cost of one pack of oil is x rubles, and the cost of one pack of milk is y rubles.

According to the problem, 6 packs of oil cost the same as 9 packs of milk, which can be expressed as:

6x = 9y

We also know that the total cost of 6 packs of oil and 4 packs of milk is 180 rubles. So we can set up another equation:

6x + 4y = 180

We can solve this system of equations to find the values of x and y.

Let's solve the system of equations:

6x = 9y (Equation 1) 6x + 4y = 180 (Equation 2)

From Equation 1, we can express x in terms of y:

x = (9/6)y x = (3/2)y

Substituting this value of x into Equation 2:

(3/2)y + 4y = 180 (11/2)y = 180 y = (2/11) * 180 y = 32.73

Now, we can substitute the value of y back into Equation 1 to find x:

6x = 9 * 32.73 6x = 294.57 x = 49.09

Therefore, the cost of one pack of oil (x) is 49.09 rubles, and the cost of one pack of milk (y) is 32.73 rubles.

Now, let's calculate the amount of money the customer had before making the purchase.

The customer bought 2 packs of oil and 4 packs of milk, which cost:

2 * 49.09 + 4 * 32.73 = 98.18 + 130.92 = 229.10 rubles

After the purchase, the customer had 280 rubles remaining.

Therefore, the amount of money the customer had before the purchase was:

229.10 + 280 = 509.10 rubles.

Answer: The customer had 509.10 rubles before the purchase.

Task 2: Determining the Distance of the Dogs from the Owner

To determine which dog was farther from the owner and by how many meters, we need to calculate the distances traveled by each dog in 5 minutes.

Let's assume the distance traveled by the dog named Buska is d1 meters, and the distance traveled by the dog named Kuzka is d2 meters.

According to the problem, Buska runs at a speed of 420 m/min, and Kuzka runs at a speed 80 m/min faster than Buska.

So, the speed of Kuzka is 420 + 80 = 500 m/min.

The distance traveled by each dog can be calculated using the formula:

Distance = Speed * Time

For Buska: d1 = 420 * 5 = 2100 meters

For Kuzka: d2 = 500 * 5 = 2500 meters

Therefore, Buska traveled a distance of 2100 meters, and Kuzka traveled a distance of 2500 meters.

To determine which dog was farther from the owner, we compare the distances traveled. Since Kuzka traveled a greater distance, Kuzka was farther from the owner.

The difference in distance between Kuzka and Buska can be calculated as:

2500 - 2100 = 400 meters

Therefore, Kuzka was 400 meters farther from the owner than Buska.

Answer: Kuzka was farther from the owner by 400 meters.
