Общая площадь оледенения Приэльбрусья составляет 132.9 км2, из которых зарегистрировано 156 ледников. Что касается самой горы Эльбрус, то площадь оледенения составляет 124 км2 (соответственно большая часть всего оледенения находится именно на Эльбрусе).
