I fell ill last week. I woke up with a runny nose and a sore throat. Then I started sneezing. My mum took my temperature and said it was too high, so I didn't go to school. My mum called the doctor and told me to stay in bed. She also made me drink warm tea with lemon. Soon the doctor came. She examined me and said it was the cold. She wrote out a prescription for some nasal drops and a medicine to bring my temperature down. The doctor also told me to drink more water.
I followed all her recommendations and two days later I felt much better.

Title: Unexpected Illness
It was a chilly winter morning, and the world outside was enveloped in a serene blanket of snow. I woke up feeling slightly off, with a tickle in my throat and a heavy sensation in my limbs. "Maybe it's just the weather," I thought optimistically, trying to shake off the uneasy feeling.
As the day progressed, my condition worsened. The tickle had now transformed into a persistent cough, and my body was growing weaker by the minute. Ignoring it was no longer an option. Reluctantly, I decided to call in sick to work, hoping that a day's rest would be enough to drive away whatever was plaguing me.
However, the rest did little to alleviate my symptoms. In fact, they seemed to escalate rapidly. Worried, I reached out to a friend who was a nurse, hoping she could offer some advice. She recommended that I see a doctor immediately, and after some convincing, she managed to book an appointment for me at the local clinic.
I dragged my weary body to the clinic, where the waiting room was filled with other patients equally miserable. I tried to pass the time reading an old magazine, but my mind was fixated on the possibility of a serious illness. It seemed like hours before the doctor finally called my name.
After a thorough examination, the doctor informed me that I had contracted a severe respiratory infection, possibly exacerbated by the cold weather. She prescribed some medication and instructed me to get plenty of rest and stay hydrated.
Returning home, I heeded the doctor's advice and bundled myself up in bed. The days blurred together as I battled the illness, taking the prescribed medication, drinking warm tea, and binge-watching shows to keep my mind off the discomfort.
During this time, I discovered the true meaning of gratitude. My friends and family rallied around me, bringing me homemade soups, fresh fruits, and heartfelt well-wishes. It was a reminder of the power of human compassion and how illness can bring people closer together.
Slowly but surely, I started to recover. The fever subsided, the cough diminished, and my strength gradually returned. As I emerged from the grip of the illness, I felt a renewed appreciation for my health and the simple joys of everyday life.
Though the experience had been tough, it taught me an invaluable lesson – to prioritize my health and not take it for granted. It also made me realize the importance of reaching out to others in their time of need, just as my friends had done for me.
As the winter faded away and spring arrived, I stepped outside, feeling the warmth of the sun on my face. I took a deep breath, savoring the fresh air as if it were the first breath of my new lease on life. The memory of my unexpected illness lingered, but it served as a constant reminder to cherish each moment and embrace the blessings life had to offer.
