England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the United Kingdom (UK) consists of four constituent countries, which are:
England: The largest country in both area and population within the UK. Its capital is London, which is also the capital of the entire UK.
Scotland: Located to the north of England, it has its own distinct culture and legal system. The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh.
Wales: Situated to the west of England, it is known for its rugged coastline and mountainous landscapes. Cardiff is the capital of Wales.
Northern Ireland: Located on the northeastern part of the island of Ireland, it shares a border with the Republic of Ireland to the south and west. Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland.
These four countries together form the United Kingdom, a sovereign nation located off the northwest coast of mainland Europe. The UK is governed by a single central government based in London, but it also has separate devolved governments for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, each with varying degrees of legislative power in specific areas. Please note that geopolitical changes or developments beyond September 2021 might not be reflected in my response.
