Потому что любое вещество - это комбинация атомов. Атомов может быть 10 (к примеру) и комбинировать эти атомы можно огромное количество раз. Например атомы разноцветные - два красных шарика (водород) и один белый шарик (кислород) - получим ВОДУ. Два красных шарика и два белых - получим перекись водорода и т. д. Все - просто!:))
