Делегация Организации Объединенных Наций по вопросам образования, науки и культуры прибыла в республику с официальным визитом, который продлится до 14 июля. Эксперты посетят природно-культурный объект «Башкирский Урал» для принятия решения о внесении его в список объектов Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО. Включение объекта в данный список позволит привлечь в регион туристов и инвесторов, продолжает генеральный директор Международного исследовательского центра по сохранению и реставрации культурных ценностей (ICCROM) Стефано де Каро: «Есть как духовные ценности, так и экономические. К духовным ценностям относится то, что «Башкирский Урал» будет признан во всем мире как часть Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО. Это очень важно. Есть также экономические преимущества, например, для туризма, поскольку данный объект будет привлекать больше туристов. Я представляю здесь ICCROM. Мы являемся отдельной организацией, у нас 133 страны-участницы. С этого года в ICCROM вступает Российская Федерация. Россия – большая страна, и ее отсутствие в нашей организации было очень ощутимо».
