Помогите найти проблему автора в тексте Я не принадлежу к всеядным читателям, которые, словно осы

на варенье, набрасываются на каждую публикацию в «толстом» литературном журнале, на каждое новое имя. У меня первое движение — отгородиться, защититься от неподготовленных, необязательных впечатлений, которые чаще всего лишь по-пустому отнимают время и душевные силы. А и того и другого осталось не так много. За прожитую жизнь скопилось немало книг, которые хочется вновь и вновь перечитывать. Мне кажется, что у определенной возрастной черты, если книги для тебя не просто заполнение досуга, не развлечение вроде телевизора, надо ставить дверь на запор и новых посетителей либо вовсе не впускать, либо — по самому строгому отбору. В одном Пушкине таятся такие глубины, что не хватит жизни добраться до дна. И все же трудно писателю решиться на это справедливое дело, ведь надо знать, что делается в литературе, и не из праздного любопытства и самолюбивого беспокойства, а ради профессиональной ориентировки: как и какими средствами отражается миг сегодняшнего бытия в искусстве, чьим материалом является слово, Где взять на все время? И поневоле задумаешься: не лучше ли еще раз перечитать «Смерть Ивана Ильича» Л. Н. Толстого, «Жизнь Арсень-ева» И. А. Бунина, «В сторону Свана» М. Пруста, чем тешить беса любопытства новым романом модного автора или рассказами таинственного незнакомца. (По очерку «Голландия Боба ден Ойла» )

Проблема в том, на то лучше потратить драгоценное время: на перечитывание и познание глубин творчества классиков, проверенного временем, или на знакомство с произведениями новых неизвестных авторов.
