How are you? I am in the capital of England — in London. My parents and I always dreamt about seeing this nice city.

 

There are a lot of beautiful old buildings. We have alredy seen Westminster Abbey, Big Ben (now it called Elizabeth’s Tower), The Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, London Bridge, The Tower of london and The Waxworks Madame Tussaunds Museum. There are the models of famous people from pop stars to prime ministers made from wax in this museum. They look like real. It’s so interesting.

 

My parents and I are walking on Trafalgar Square now. There is Nelson’s Column in its centre which is guarded by four lion statues at its base. By the way, I sent you this postcard with a picture of Trafalgar Square.

 

The weather is not fine today, it’s foggy and rainy. But it doesn’t spoil our walking.

 

We took much photos. Next week we will be at home and I’ll show you them.

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. It has been quite some time since we last connected, and I wanted to share with you my recent adventures. I had the opportunity to visit a fascinating place, and I couldn't wait to tell you all about it.

I recently embarked on a journey to Iceland, a country known for its breathtaking landscapes and unique natural wonders. As soon as I landed in Reykjavik, the capital city, I was captivated by the beauty that surrounded me. The city itself had a charming and cozy atmosphere, with colorful houses and friendly locals.

One of the highlights of my trip was exploring the famous Golden Circle. It's a popular tourist route that takes you to some of Iceland's most iconic sites. The first stop was Þingvellir National Park, where I stood in awe at the spot where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. The geological significance of the place was awe-inspiring, and the natural beauty was simply breathtaking.

Next on the Golden Circle was the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall. The sheer power and grandeur of the cascading water left me speechless. It was a surreal experience standing there, feeling the mist on my face and hearing the roaring sound of the waterfall.

I also visited the Geysir geothermal area, home to the famous Strokkur geyser. Watching the geyser erupt every few minutes, shooting boiling water high into the air, was an incredible sight. The anticipation and thrill of seeing it happen never diminished, no matter how many times I witnessed it.

Apart from the Golden Circle, I ventured to the southern coast of Iceland, where I discovered black sand beaches, towering cliffs, and mesmerizing ice formations. I even had the chance to explore a glacier and hike through ice caves, which felt like stepping into a different world altogether.

Throughout my journey, I encountered friendly locals who were always ready to share their stories and recommendations. The Icelandic culture is rich and deeply connected to nature, and I was lucky to witness some traditional music performances and try their unique cuisine, including the famous Icelandic hot dogs and fermented shark meat (an acquired taste, to say the least!).

I must say, my trip to Iceland was a truly transformative experience. The raw and untouched beauty of the landscapes, the warmth of the people, and the sense of adventure in every corner made it a journey I will never forget. I can't wait to share more stories and photos with you when we meet.
