Пожар в торгово-развлекательном центре "Зимняя вишня" - крупный пожар, который произошел 25 - 26 марта 2018 года в Кемерове. В результате пожара погибло 60 человек, в том числе 41 ребенок. Пожар стал вторым крупнейшим в истории современной России по числу жертв после пожара в пермском ночном клубе "Хромая лошадь". Предполагаемые причины возгорания: неосторожное обращение с огнем, короткое замыкание электропроводки и поджог.
Во время пожара люди теряли сознание, а безвыходное положение заставляло их выбрасываться из окон в надежде на спасение. В торговом центре располагался контактный зоопарк. Увы. животным спастись не удалось. Конечно же были и выжившие, это радует. Имели место особые случаи героизма.
- 17-летний курсант кадетского корпуса Дмитрий Полухин, который в тот роковой вечер отдыхал в ТРЦ. Он не покинул горящее здание и вытащил из пожара троих детей;
- работник одного из залов 3-го этажа Александр Калачёв. Понимая, что люди, находившиеся этажом выше, нуждаются в помощи, он побежал на четвертый этаж и вывел несколько семей из зоны пожара.
