Maslenitsa is one of the most favourite holidays in Russia. Russian people celebrate Maslenitsa at the end of February or at the beginning of March. During this holiday they celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring. During Maslenitsa week people always cook pancakes. They usually eat pancakes with sour cream, butter, sugar, jam and honey. They invite their friends and relatives to see each other. On this day people also go out into the street, they sing songs, dance and burn a scarecrow. Maslenitsa is a very tasty and funny holiday.
