We all look forward for school holidays during the academic year. There are four major school breaks, in winter, spring, summer and autumn. The longest holidays are in summer, as they last for three months. Winter holidays last for almost two weeks. Spring and autumn holidays last for only a week. It’s not a long term, but I always enjoy my holidays and try to spend them cheerfully.

 These spring holidays were full of positive emotions. At first, my parents wanted to travel somewhere hot and to take me with them, but then they changed their mind. My uncle, who lives in (місто), invited us to his place and my parents gladly agreed. To save time, my dad offered to go there by plane. The flight was about four hours. The same day we arrived my uncle showed us around. I should say that the city is rather beautiful. When we came back, my uncle’s wife, aunt Maria, has prepared delicious dinner for us, consisting of rice pilaf. For the dessert we had some sweet pies with tea. Spending time in (місто), I learnt that many prominent people have lived and worked in this city. 
I wish we had more time to stay there, at least one more week, but soon we had to go back home. My spring holidays were over and on Monday the school started.

Ми всі з нетерпінням чекаємо шкільних канікул протягом навчального року. Існують чотири основних види шкільних канікул: зимові, весняні, літні та осінні. Найбільш тривалі канікули припадають на літній час і тривають три місяці. Зимові канікули тривають майже два тижні. Навесні і восени канікули тривають всього тиждень. Це не довгий термін, але я завжди насолоджуюся своїми канікулами і намагаюся провести їх весело. 
Ці весняні канікули були сповнені позитивних емоцій. Спочатку мої батьки хотіли поїхати в теплі краї і взяти мене з собою, але потім передумали. Мій дядько, який живе в (місто), запросив нас до себе, і батьки із задоволенням погодилися.Щоб заощадити час, тато запропонував дістатися туди на літаку. Політ тривав близько чотирьох годин. В той же день, як ми прибули, мій дядько показав нам місцеві пам'ятки. Мушу визнати, що місто досить гарне. Коли ми повернулися, дружина мого дядька, тітка Марія, приготувала для нас смачну вечерю, що складається з рисового плову. На десерт були солодкі пироги з чаєм. Проводячи час в (місто), я дізнався, що багато видатних людей жили і працювали в цьому місті. 

Шкода, що ми не могли залишитися там довше,принаймі, ще на один тиждень, адже незабаром нам довелося повернутися додому. Мої весняні канікули закінчилися, а з понеділка почалася школа.

During my spring break, I had a wonderful time full of exciting activities and relaxation. I kicked off my holidays by going on a hiking adventure with my family. We explored picturesque trails, surrounded by blooming wildflowers and lush greenery. It was not only a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature, but also to bond with my loved ones.

In the middle of the week, I decided to dedicate some time to my creative side. I enrolled in a pottery workshop where I learned how to shape clay into beautiful pieces of art. It was incredibly satisfying to see my ideas come to life through my own hands.

As the break continued, I indulged in a bit of cultural exploration. I visited local museums and art galleries, immersing myself in the world of creativity and history. One particular exhibition left a lasting impression on me, inspiring me to pursue my own artistic endeavors.

Of course, relaxation was also on the agenda. I spent a few lazy afternoons reading my favorite books in the park, basking in the warm sunlight. These moments of tranquility allowed me to recharge and rejuvenate for the upcoming months of school.

Towards the end of my break, I joined a community volunteering project. Together with a group of enthusiastic volunteers, I participated in a beach cleanup initiative. It was heartwarming to contribute to the environment and make a positive impact on my community.

Overall, my spring break was a perfect blend of adventure, creativity, culture, and relaxation. It was a time for personal growth, connecting with loved ones, and giving back to the community – truly a memorable and fulfilling experience.
