It is a happy and nice holiday. It is a good tradition in our country to give presents and flowers to women on this day. Each family celebrates this spring holiday. In the morning men go to the shops or markets to buy some flowers. They try to clean flats and help women to cook a holiday dinner.
Sons and daughters help their mothers too: they make a cake, lay the table and wash dishes after holiday dinner.
All the members of the families try to be well dressed on this day.
Some families celebrate the 8th of March going to the theatres and concerts. They buy tickets beforehand.
Others prefer to invite guests and stay at home.
There is almost the same holiday in England. It is called Mothers" Day and celebrated also in spring. Sons and daughters come and give gifts to their mothers on this day.

Title: The Enchanted Festival of Lumina
Once upon a time, in a quaint little village called Lumina, nestled amidst rolling hills and ancient forests, the villagers prepared for a special celebration—the Festival of Lumina. This magical festival was held annually to honor the luminous essence that brought joy and prosperity to their lives.
The Festival of Lumina was unlike any other, for it was said that on this day, the boundaries between reality and fantasy blurred, allowing enchantment and wonder to seep into every aspect of the festivities. The village was adorned with vibrant decorations and shimmering lights, casting a warm glow over the cobblestone streets.
The celebration commenced at sunrise when the villagers gathered in the central square. A lively parade of mythical creatures and colorful floats meandered through the village, captivating both young and old with their grandeur. There were graceful unicorns, mischievous fairies, and gentle giants, all crafted by the skilled hands of the villagers.
In the heart of the village stood the majestic Lumina Tree—a massive, ancient oak tree that was said to be the source of all the magic in the land. Its leaves shimmered like gold, and its branches sparkled with iridescent fairy lights. The Lumina Tree was the focal point of the festival, a symbol of hope and unity for the villagers.
As the sun reached its zenith, a spectacular feast was prepared in the village square. Tables overflowed with an assortment of delectable treats—delicate fairy cakes, savory pixie pies, and fragrant elixir soup. The aroma of the food filled the air, enticing the visitors to indulge in the culinary delights.
Throughout the day, various performances enchanted the crowd. Dancers gracefully swirled, storytellers weaved mesmerizing tales of ancient lore, and musicians played ethereal melodies that seemed to echo from other realms. Laughter and cheer echoed through the village as the villagers reveled in the magic that enveloped them.
As evening approached, the Lumina Tree came to life in a dazzling display of light and sound. The branches emitted a soft, radiant glow, and the air was filled with sweet, melodious music, captivating the hearts of all who beheld it. It was as if the tree itself was a living, breathing entity, blessing the village with its ethereal presence.
At the stroke of midnight, as the Festival of Lumina drew to a close, the villagers gathered around the Lumina Tree to make a wish. With eyes closed and hearts full of hope, they whispered their desires, believing that the magic of the festival would make their dreams come true.
As the last note of the enchanting melody drifted away, the villagers bid farewell to another extraordinary celebration. They knew that the magic of Lumina would stay with them throughout the year, guiding them through both joyous and challenging times.
And so, year after year, the Festival of Lumina became a cherished tradition, reminding the villagers of the power of hope, imagination, and community. For in Lumina, the spirit of magic and wonder lived on, ensuring that each passing celebration was even more enchanting than the last.
