The man standing at the window is my uncle John. He's rather an unusual person. He's got five pets living in his house. One of these pets, Greeny, is a young crocodile. It lives in the bathroom and doesn't allow anybody but its master to come in. The other pet is a parrot taught to speak. He says rather strange things sometimes. The other two pets are bulldogs barking at everybody coming to the door of the flat. It's not surprising that uncle John lives alone; his wife left him two years ago when his fifth pet—a large snake presented to him by a famous traveler—appeared in his flat.

So, the correct verb forms are:

  1. The man (standing) at the window is my uncle John.
  2. He's got five pets (living) in his house.
  3. One of these pets, Greeny, is a young crocodile (called).
  4. It lives in the bathroom and (doesn't allow) anybody but its master to come in.
  5. The other pet is a parrot (taught) to speak.
  6. The other two pets are bulldogs (barking) at everybody (coming) to the door of the flat.
  7. It's not surprising that uncle John lives alone; his wife (left) him two years ago when his fifth pet—a large snake (presented) to him by a famous traveler—appeared in his flat.
