Everyone has their own favorite game, so do I. My favorite game is football. It is claimed to be the most played sport worldwide.

Soccer was started around 2000 years ago. Its origin is traced to China although people from Rome, Greece and some sections in Central America also believe soccer originated from their countries. However, it is common knowledge that the current form of soccer was first played in England.

I often play football with my friends in the evening. I like this game because it is exciting and challenging. Because you improve your skills, and get a lot of exercise. Another reason why I love soccer is because it takes a lot of team effort. If one person doesn’t try on the team or doesn’t give 200% your whole team loses.

Football is a team sport played between two teams. Each of the ones have eleven players.

The objective of the game is to score by maneuvering the ball into the opposing team’s goal. The winner is the team which has scored the most goals at the end of the match. Football is played at a professional level all over the world. The famous clubs in the world are in England, Italy, Spain and some countries in South America. Players in these clubs are paid highly.

A very large number of people also play football at an amateur level. Millions of people regularly go to football stadiums to follow their favorite team, whilst millions more avidly watch the game on television.

The football star I admired most in football is Edson Arantes do Nascimento, nicknamed Pelé. Pele is a former Brazilian football player and thought by many to be the finest player of all time. He was also famed for his speed and strength on the ball. Since his full retirement he has served as an ambassador for the sport.

Many people love footbal and I’m one of them.

I think it is the most energetic sport ever.

It is the most watched game in the world and is played in not less than 200 countries worldwide.

Soccer is amazing to me.

I wish to become a professional football player.
