On Saturdays we went to the village for groceries. We cooked at the stake. To do this, you need to collect firewood and brushwood. I chopped wood myself. Sometimes it rained. And it happened that the fire was poured so that it was necessary to scoop up water. But more often the weather was good. We swam every day, even when it was raining and it was cool. Once in the forest, dad saw a capercaillie and walked for a long time after him, because he was not afraid and did not fly away. But my mother and I did not have time to see him. He heard that we were running, and flew away into the forest. I really liked in Karelia. I hope that next year we will go there again for a whole month!

The traditional Maori culture was also an integral part of this region, and I was fortunate to witness a captivating cultural performance that left me in awe.

Next, I made my way to the South Island, known for its rugged mountains and pristine lakes. Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world, welcomed me with open arms. I couldn't resist trying some adrenaline-pumping activities like bungee jumping and jet boating, which pushed me out of my comfort zone and filled me with an electrifying sense of accomplishment.

The highlight of my trip was a hike through the majestic Fiordland National Park. The Milford Sound cruise revealed towering waterfalls cascading down steep cliffs, and the beauty of Doubtful Sound left me speechless. It was as if I had stepped into a postcard-worthy paradise.

Throughout my journey, I encountered warm-hearted locals who shared stories and welcomed me into their homes. These interactions added a personal touch to my adventure and helped me gain a deeper appreciation for the country's culture and values.
