No leopards live in snow

As of my last update in September 2021, snow leopards (Panthera uncia) are native to the mountainous regions of Central and South Asia. They inhabit a range of countries including Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Snow leopards are highly adapted to living in cold and rugged terrains, and they are usually found at elevations ranging from 3,000 to 5,500 meters (9,800 to 18,000 feet) above sea level. These elusive big cats are well-known for their solitary and secretive nature, making them challenging to spot in the wild.
Since my information is not up-to-date, I recommend checking recent sources for any changes or updates in snow leopard distribution and conservation status. Conservation efforts have been made to protect these magnificent animals and their fragile habitats due to their endangered status, but the situation may have evolved since my last update.
