I never used to worry about my health until recently. When I was a kid, I did lots of exercise.

Even in my twenties and thirties I was very fit and never ill. I have been lucky all my life - always in the best of health. I rarely get even a cold. I suppose time catches up with you. Now I seem to be getting lots of little aches and pains. I should go to the doctor for a health check, but I'm too busy. The older you get, the more you worry about your health. One good thing is that I'm eating more healthily now than ever before. I no longer have fast food and midnight snacks. I also sleep a lot more. I've read that getting seven or eight hours sleep every night is one of the best things you can do for your health. 6. How many hours should sleep a person if you want to be healthy? 7. If you have body aches and pains where should you go? Please please sor

  1. The recommended amount of sleep for an adult varies slightly from person to person, but on average, most adults should aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night to maintain good health. However, individual sleep needs can vary depending on factors such as age, genetics, and lifestyle. Some people may function well with as little as 6 hours of sleep, while others may require up to 10 hours. It's important to pay attention to your body and how you feel during the day to determine your ideal amount of sleep. Consistently getting enough sleep is essential for overall health and well-being.

  2. If you have body aches and pains, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the cause and appropriate treatment. You have a few options:

    a. Primary Care Physician (PCP): Your first step should be to see your primary care physician or general practitioner. They can evaluate your symptoms, perform a physical examination, and provide initial guidance. They may also refer you to specialists if necessary.

    b. Specialists: Depending on the nature of your aches and pains, you might need to see a specialist such as an orthopedist for musculoskeletal issues, a rheumatologist for joint and autoimmune problems, or a neurologist for nerve-related pain.

    c. Physical Therapist: If your aches and pains are related to musculoskeletal issues or injuries, a physical therapist can provide exercises and treatments to help alleviate pain and improve your mobility.

    d. Chiropractor or Osteopath: Some people find relief from certain types of aches and pains through chiropractic or osteopathic care, but it's important to choose a qualified and licensed practitioner.

    e. Pain Management Specialist: If your pain is chronic and severe, a pain management specialist can help you explore various treatment options, including medications, injections, and therapies to manage and reduce pain.

Remember that it's essential not to ignore persistent or severe aches and pains, especially as you age. Early detection and appropriate treatment can often prevent more significant health issues down the road. Prioritize your health and make time for necessary medical appointments to ensure you continue to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.
