1. Who can you call a rich man and why? - A rich man can be someone who has accumulated a significant amount of wealth and possessions. In the story, the man is considered rich because he has saved a lot of money throughout his life, making him the wealthiest person in his town.

2. What is the moral of the story? - The moral of the story could be that material wealth, symbolized by the bag of gold, may not always be the solution to life's challenges. True wealth might also involve being resourceful, practical, and understanding the value of what one truly needs, especially in difficult situations.

3. Why did he have to save money all his life? - The story doesn't explicitly state why the man saved money all his life, but it implies that he was focused on accumulating wealth. People save money for various reasons, such as securing their future, achieving financial independence, or ensuring a comfortable lifestyle.

4. How did the gold help him in the desert? - Ironically, the gold did not help him in the desert. Despite being a rich man, the bag he found in the desert contained only gold, which couldn't provide the essential resources he needed at that moment—food and water. In fact, the gold became a burden in this situation.

5. Why did the man have to leave the bag full of gold there? - The man had to leave the bag full of gold because, in his desperate and weakened state due to hunger and thirst, the gold was of no practical use to him. He needed immediate sustenance to survive, and gold couldn't satisfy his basic needs in the harsh desert environment.

6. What is the author trying to tell us? - The author might be trying to convey the message that material wealth, while valuable in certain contexts, is not always the solution to life's most pressing problems. The story emphasizes the importance of practicality and resourcefulness over the mere accumulation of riches. It encourages readers to consider the true value of possessions in the context of their immediate needs and well-being.
