School life is the most pleasant period in a man’s life. Everyone longs for those cheerful days in his later life. One feels very happy when he recalls the old memories of his school life.


The joys of school life are numerous. School is a place of youth. Even the old feel happy and smart in the company of young students. It is a carefree life. The student is not worried about the worldly affairs. The student’s demands are easily met by his parents. He is concerned only with his lessons and games. He has time enough to play and make his health. He remains cheerful most of the time. Some of his friends are naughty. They cut jokes with their class fellows. But there are some industries boys too. They work hard to surpass others. They cut joke with their class fellows.


We pass happy evening in the playground. There are keen contests among players. They are cheered up with clapping. This is the innocent pleasure which we cannot get anywhere else.


The teacher are lovable personalities. We are familiar with their particular habits. They get angry and punish but at heart, they are our well wishers. They become ideal examples for us. Discipline, cooperation and tolerance through school activities. IN fact, the character is formed in the school. Thus we become good citizens and lead a successful life in future.


The school activities like tournaments, picnic and other functions are the source of great joy. We pass a jolly good time at school. But we should not waste this time. The success of our future life depends on this period. The child is the father of the man. The school prepares us to fight the battle of life valiantly. We are little heroes in the making.

I am a pupil of the 11-th form, I study at school number 9.

I would like to tell your about our school life.  

I go to school five days a week.

Our classes start at 8 o'clock a. m. and last till 3 o'clock p.m.

So we have 6 or 7 lessons a day.

We study many different subjects: Russian, English, French, literatures, history, geography, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, programming and computer sciences.

Languages, literature and history are my favourite subjects.

I make good marks in these subjects.  

The school year is divided into four terms, called quarters.

It begins on the 1st of September known as a Day of knowledge and finishes in May.

Each quarter is followed by holidays.  

Every pupil has a day-book where the teachers put down the marks, that pupil has earned at the class.  

During the classes pupils are to answer the teacher's questions, do some exercises, write sentences, count, read.

The pupils are often called to the blackboard.

After every lesson the teachers give us home assignment.

At the next lesson the teachers check them up.

To do good at school one should make home assignments regularly, be active at the lessons and spend at least two-three hours every day studying.  

I like studying.

My favourite proverb is "Live and learn".

I still remember the first day of my school when I was so nervous and scared to go to a new place. But as time passed, I made new friends and started enjoying my school life.

One of the best things about school life is the friendships that we make. We meet people from different backgrounds, cultures, and interests, and we learn so much from them. I still have some friends from my school days, and we share so many memories that make us laugh and smile.

Apart from friendships, school life also teaches us discipline and time management. We have a fixed schedule, and we have to follow it strictly. We have to be punctual and attend all our classes on time. We learn how to prioritize our tasks and manage our time efficiently.

Another aspect of school life is extracurricular activities. We have a wide range of activities to choose from, such as sports, music, drama, and many more. These activities not only help us to develop our skills but also provide us with a platform to showcase our talents.

Of course, school life is not all fun and games. We have to work hard to maintain our grades and keep up with the academic workload. But with the help of our teachers and peers, we can overcome the challenges and achieve our goals.

In conclusion, school life is a crucial phase in our lives, where we learn, grow, and make memories that will stay with us forever. It shapes us into the individuals we are today and prepares us for the challenges of the future.
