My name is Nikita and I’m thirteen years old. I’d like to tell you a few words about the school lessons and my favourite one. At the moment I’m at the 7th grade of secondary school. We have many interesting lessons, especially this year. Physics, Geometry and IT were totally new. Last year, we studied simply Mathematics and this year the subject was divided into Algebra and Geometry. I like many subjects, nearly all of them except Art, as I’m not very good at drawing.

My favourite lesson is Geography. We started learning the information about the globe, its land and water bodies last year. I fell in love with this subject since then. My teacher of geography says I’m one of the best students in the class, so I’m planning to pass the exam of Geography in the future.

I’m curious to know everything about our planet. I want to know which mountain is the highest, which river is the longest, which plants grow in Argentina, how far is Japan from New Zealand, etc. This type of information really interests me. Moreover, I would like to travel the world when I’m older. My mum says I should make a career in the field of tourism, and she might be right. I’m very interested in other countries, their cities and capitals, their climate and natural riches. While Russia has four seasons, some countries don’t even have winter.

In my opinion, only studying Geography we can learn about the changes in weather conditions, the reasons of desert formation and many other interesting facts about the world.

Меня зовут Никита и мне тринадцать лет. Я хотел бы рассказать вам немного о своих школьных уроках и самых любимых из них. На данный момент я учусь в 7-м классе средней школы. У нас много интересных уроков, особенно те, что появились в этом году. Физика, геометрия и информатика только появились. В прошлом году мы изучали просто математику, а в этом году предмет был разделен на алгебру и геометрию. Мне нравятся многие предметы, почти все, кроме рисования, так как я не очень хорошо рисую.

Мой любимый урок - это география. Мы начали изучать все о мире, о пространствах земли и воды в прошлом году. С тех пор я просто влюблен в этот предмет. Мой учитель географии говорит, что я один из лучших учеников в классе, поэтому я планирую в будущем сдавать экзамен по географии.

Мне любопытно знать все о нашей планете. Я хочу знать, какие горы самые высокие, какая река самая длинная, какие растения растут в Аргентине, как далеко Япония от Новой Зеландии и т.д. Такого рода информация меня действительно интересует. Кроме того, я хотел бы объехать весь мир, когда стану старше. Моя мама говорит, что я должен делать карьеру в сфере туризма и, возможно, она права. Я очень заинтересован в других странах, их городах и столицах, их климате и природных залежей. В то время как в России четыре времени года, в некоторых странах совсем не бывает зимы.

На мой взгляд, только изучая географию, можно узнать о погодных условиях, причинах формирования пустыни и многих других интересных фактах про мир.
