У нього не було вибору. Та й і по характеру він був не поганою людиною. Співав дітям пісні, та ставився до них добре. Також Фрідріх через війну та через те що він був полоненим, так і не зміг побачити двох своїх доньок. А намрахунок оповідпчки я не можу сказати що вона була ЖЕРТВОЮ(можливо це й так, але в новеллі нам про це нічого сказано не було).
