Ми дуже любимо наше рідне місто і вивчаємо його історію. Українською мовою воно зветься Львів, польською — Lwow, латинською — Leopolis, німецькою — Lemberg. Львів знаходиться на заході України, і його населення складає близько 735 тисяч чоловік.Місто розташоване на річці, на відстані близько 80 км. від межі з Польщею. Перші письмові згадки про наше місто відносяться до 1256 року. Воно засноване королем, і назване на честь його сина Льва Даниловича. Історичний центр міста внесений до списку всесвітньої спадщини ЮНЕСКО. На території нашого міста є дуже відомі Львівське плато, горбисте Розточчя, Давидова гряда, низовинне Грядисте Побужжя, Львівська низовина по боках долини річки Полтави. Це  місто побудоване на схилах, а його найвища точка — курган Високий Замок. Діти дуже люблять гратися поблизу нього. Загальновідомий факт, що історично Львів будувався поблизу річки, але в XIX столітті її пустили через головний міський водостік (що проходить зараз під проспектами Шевченко, Свободи і Чорновола). Через місто також проходить лінія головного Європейського водо розділу, який розділяє річки Балтійського і Чорноморського басейнів (відповідно, Західного Бугу і Дністра). Львів є важливим культурним центром. Тут працює п'ять театрів, філармонія, близько 40 кінотеатрів, цирк, 12 крупних музеїв, більше 350 бібліотек. І більшості учнів ніколи нудьгувати на канікулах, тому що в нашому місті завжди можливо розважитися або відвідати цікаві історичні місця. До Львова часто приїжджають діти і дорослі з інших міст, або країн помилуватися незвичайно красивим українським містом, у якого є цікаві традиції.

Якщо у вас поганий настрій, або забагато думок — прогуляйтесь вулицями міста, які зачарують вас своєю красою і неповторністю. Кожен будинок вартий уваги, кожен має свою історію. Щоб її узнати -треба просто завітати до гостинного українського міста Львова!
