Я считаю Второй подвиг самым великим из всех подвигов Геракла, ведь это так опасно сражаться с девятиглавой змеей, убивающей скот одним только дыханием. Эврисфей приказал Гераклу убить гидру, чтобы она прекратила убивать каждого, кто приближается к городу Лерны. Страшная была битва. Геракл отсекал огнедышащий головы, на месте одной головы вырастали две еще более страшные. Тогда Иолай, который помогал Гераклу, начал прижигать раны огнем, и головы перестали отрастать. Наконец, Геракл отрубил самую главную голову, и гидра погибла. Но Эврисфей не считал это подвигом, потому что Гераклу помогал Иолай. 
А мне кажется, что это самый достойный подвиг Геракла.
