Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom, there lived a wise and just king who ruled over his land with kindness and fairness. This king had a magnificent palace, beautiful gardens, and loyal subjects who adored him. However, the king had an unusual companion - a majestic rooster named Ivan.

Ivan the rooster was no ordinary bird. He had a shimmering coat of feathers that gleamed in the sunlight, and a voice so powerful that it could be heard across the entire kingdom. The king had found Ivan as a chick and had raised him as his own, and they had formed an unbreakable bond.

One day, a terrible drought struck the kingdom, causing crops to wither and animals to suffer. The people were worried, and the king knew he had to do something to help his subjects. He called upon Ivan the rooster for advice, as he believed the bird had a special connection with nature.

Ivan crowed loudly and then spoke in a language only the king could understand. He told the king that in order to bring rain to the kingdom, a great sacrifice needed to be made. The king, feeling a sense of duty to his people, asked Ivan what he could do to help.

The rooster explained that in order to appease the gods and bring rain, the most precious possession of the kingdom had to be offered as a sacrifice. The king, after much thought, realized that Ivan himself was the kingdom's most precious possession.

Torn between his love for Ivan and his duty to his people, the king made a difficult decision. He announced to the kingdom that Ivan the rooster would be offered as a sacrifice to bring rain to the drought-stricken land. The people were shocked, for they too loved the magnificent bird.

The day of the sacrifice arrived, and the king, with a heavy heart, took Ivan to the highest hill in the kingdom. As the king prepared to make the sacrifice, dark clouds gathered in the sky, and a gentle rain began to fall. The people rejoiced, for it was the first rain they had seen in months.

In that moment, the king realized that Ivan had not needed to be sacrificed after all. His willingness to make the sacrifice had been enough to show the gods the depth of his love for his people. The king and Ivan returned to the palace, and the kingdom flourished once again, with Ivan the rooster hailed as a hero.

From that day on, the king and Ivan continued to rule the kingdom with wisdom and compassion, and the bond between them grew even stronger. And whenever it rained, the people remembered the sacrifice that was never made, and they knew that their king and his faithful rooster had saved their land.
