Необычность скорее в том ,что роман является логическим продолжением романов Пушкина *евгений Онегин *,комедии Грибоедова *горе от ума*,в плане создания образов лишних людей.лишними являются Онегин и печерин не по тому что они бездеятельны и худшие а  именно в силу своей благородности. Но обществу не нужны такие люди. Обломов замыкает галерею лишних людей ,это дворянин нового формата.
