Emotions of the Young Maral throughout the Story

The young maral experiences a range of emotions throughout the story. At the beginning, it is described as being carefree and playful, enjoying its freedom in the wild. However, as the story progresses, the maral's emotions shift dramatically. It becomes fearful and anxious when it senses danger approaching, particularly when it realizes it is being hunted by the hunters. The maral's fear intensifies as it tries to escape from the hunters, leading to a sense of desperation and panic. Finally, as the maral is captured and trapped, it experiences a sense of defeat and resignation. Overall, the emotions of the young maral can be summarized as a transition from joy and freedom to fear, desperation, and ultimately, defeat.

Emotions of the Hunters in Pursuit of the Maral

The hunters in pursuit of the maral experience a different set of emotions. For them, the hunt represents a thrilling challenge and a chance to prove their skills and prowess. They may feel excitement and anticipation as they track the maral, using their knowledge and experience to outsmart and capture it. Additionally, the hunters may also experience a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when they successfully capture their prey. However, it is important to note that the emotions of the hunters are not explicitly described in the story, so these are general assumptions based on the typical emotions associated with hunting.

Answering the Specific Questions

1. Why did Sanka participate in the capture of the maral, despite considering Semiletko as his friend? - Sanka participated in the capture of the maral because he was enticed by the prospect of earning a large sum of money. The story mentions that the maral's antlers were highly valued, and Sanka saw this as an opportunity to improve his financial situation. Despite considering Semiletko as his friend, Sanka prioritized his personal gain over their friendship .

2. Why does the author end the story in this particular way? - The author may have chosen to end the story in this way to highlight the tragic consequences of greed and betrayal. By showing the maral's capture and the death of Semiletko, the author emphasizes the destructive nature of the hunters' actions and the impact it has on the maral and its companions. This ending serves as a cautionary tale, reminding readers of the consequences that can arise from prioritizing personal gain over loyalty and friendship.

3. Evaluate Sanka's actions at the end of the story. Why did he participate in the capture of the maral? - Sanka's actions at the end of the story can be seen as morally questionable. Despite considering Semiletko as his friend, Sanka chose to participate in the capture of the maral for financial gain. His decision to prioritize money over friendship demonstrates a lack of loyalty and empathy. Sanka's participation in the capture can be attributed to his desire for personal enrichment and a disregard for the consequences of his actions.

4. Can we blame Sanka for the death of his friend, the maral? - It can be argued that Sanka bears some responsibility for the death of his friend, the maral. By participating in the capture of the maral, Sanka indirectly contributed to the events that led to its death. His pursuit of personal gain and betrayal of his friend ultimately resulted in the tragic outcome. However, it is important to note that the hunters as a group share the responsibility for the maral's death, as they collectively engaged in the pursuit and capture.

5. What were the reasons behind the unfolding tragedy? - The tragedy in the story can be attributed to a combination of factors. Firstly, the hunters' pursuit of the maral for its valuable antlers created a situation of conflict and danger. Secondly, Sanka's betrayal of his friend, Semiletko, by participating in the capture of the maral added an element of personal betrayal and tragedy. Finally, the maral's desperate attempts to escape and the hunters' determination to capture it created a tense and volatile situation, leading to the unfortunate outcome. Overall, the tragedy can be seen as a result of greed, betrayal, and the clash between human desires and the natural world.
