Сейчас учу французский ради свободного общения с одном человеком. Могли бы общаться и на других языках (что и делаем), но хочу лучше понимать его менталитет, культуру и традиции. То, что французский - второй язык Евросоюза, также привлекает меня.

Хотелось бы освоить арабский, турецкий китайский или японский. А можно и всё сразу. С восточными языками мало знакома. Больше не хочу ограничиваться одной старушкой Европой. Хочется свободно ощущать себя в восточных странах и в общении с носителями этих языков.

Вот сегодня одна замечательная женщина подкинула мне идею насчет иврита. Имхо, это было бы любопытно: другой алфавит, другая религия, другая культура.

Интересно было бы выучить греческий, чтобы заново перевести Библию и понять, где неточности перевода. А заодно и проверить, правы ли ученые-теологи, выискивающие ошибки в переводах Библии. Люблю до всего докапываться сама.

Итальянский - просто для коллекции популярных европейских языков и еще потому что он безумно красив.

Вы знаете,... люди тратят кучу времени, энергии и денег на изучение иностранных языков, а затем за качественные устные и особенно письменные переводы получают сущие копейки. Поэтому если у вас есть цель обогатиться, выучив очередной иностранный язык, не обманывайтесь. Другое дело, если человеку для его работы не хватает знания иностранного языка и профессиональной терминологии.

Italian is just for the collection of popular European languages and also because it is insanely beautiful.

You know... people spend a lot of time, energy and money on learning foreign languages, and then for high-quality oral and especially written translations get mere pennies. So if you have a goal to get rich by learning another foreign language, do not be fooled. Another thing, if a person for his work does not have enough knowledge of a foreign language and professional terminology.
