АФИНСКИЙ АКРОПОЛЬ

Греция. Колыбель античности, омываемая Ионическим и Эгейским морями. В этих землях герои древности начинали свои отважные путешествия, а в тени оливковых деревьев предавались раздумьям великие умы той эпохи, подарившие современному миру философию, заложившие фундамент точных наук и посеявшие семена тайного знания, давшего свои плоды в эпоху Средневековья в виде алхимии, а позже и масонства. Кроме высокой культуры и легендарной мифологии древняя Греция прославилась также своей архитектурой. Пять из семи классических чудес света возвели именно греки. Но не смотря на грандиозность и величие, многие из работ древнегреческих скульпторов и архитекторов оказались вне данного списка. Например, статуя Афродиты Книдской, храм богини Геры или гениальное творение Фидия — статуя Афины Парфенос в храме Парфенон, руины которого и ныне располагаются в Афинском Акрополе. Многие специалисты сходятся во мнении что и сам Акрополь можно причислить к одному из чудес Древнего Мира.



Древние Афины прославились как колыбель демократии и родина таких великих мыслителей древности, как Сократ, Платон, Эвклид. Но Афины — это еще и неповторимая архитектура, жемчужиной которой является Афинский Акрополь. Здесь мудрость древних нашла свое воплощение в камне. Акрополь представляет из себя холм, высотой в 156 метров. Сами Афины были выстроены вокруг Акрополя, на котором было укрепленное поселение еще в микенскую эпоху, XVI — XIII веках до н. э. Рост и укрепление Афин, их политический выход на одну из главенствующих ролей среди древнегреческих полисов — все это способствовало повышению материального благосостояния и культурному развитию. Во времена правления Перикла, в середине V века до н. э., в Акрополе был возведен легендарный Парфенон, ставший жемчужиной местного архитектурного ансамбля. Перикл лично руководил строительством храма на священном месте.
