Домой, в районы выхода, в массовом количестве потянулись недавние новоселы Севера и Дальнего Востока. Направления внутренних миграций изменились на прямо противоположные – с севера и востока в центр и на юго-запад страны. Впервые со времен его освоения Российской империей стал терять население Дальний Восток. Страна четко поделилась на 2 зоны – северо-восточную отдающую и цен-трально-юго-западную принимающую. Это деление остается незыблемым вот уже в течение 20 лет.
