Every year my friend and I go somewhere to the South for holidays. The Black Sea is one of the most wonderful places which attracts holiday-makers all over the world. There are many sanatoriums and tourist camps there. Sometimes, we can place ourselves in a tent on the sea shore enjoying fresh air and the sun all day long.As a rule, I make new friends there during the trip. In the day-time with new friends we play volleyball, tennis, swim in the warm water of the sea. I like to sit on the beach watching the sea and enjoying the sunset. I'm fond of mountaineering. So I do a lot of climbing together with my friends. Time passes quickly and soon we have to make our way back. We return home sunburnt and full of impressions.Sometimes I travel by ship. It's wonderful to feel the deck of the ship under the feet, to see the rise and fall of the waves, to feel the fresh sea wind blowing in the face, hear the cry of the sea-gulls. Of course, the voyage isn't exciting for those who are sea-sick.But I repeat again - the cheapest and enjoyable way to travel - is walking the forest, country.I love travelling!

Next, I visited the geothermal wonders of Geysir and Strokkur, where I marveled at the spouting hot springs and the bubbling mud pots. The sight of Strokkur erupting, shooting a plume of water high into the sky, left me in awe of the Earth's natural forces.

I also had the opportunity to immerse myself in Iceland's unique culture and history. I explored the vibrant streets of Reykjavik, the country's capital, and visited the National Museum, where I learned about Iceland's Viking heritage and its fascinating folklore.

But my journey didn't end there. I ventured further into the wilderness, driving along the dramatic South Coast. The black sand beaches of Vik, with their towering basalt columns and crashing waves, created a surreal and haunting atmosphere.

One of the most unforgettable experiences was hiking on a glacier. Strapping on crampons and wielding an ice axe, I ventured onto the icy expanse, surrounded by nothing but pristine white. The silence was deafening, and the feeling of standing on a frozen giant was both humbling and exhilarating.

Throughout my journey, I was constantly reminded of the fragile beauty of our planet. From the awe-inspiring landscapes to the delicate ecosystems, Iceland taught me the importance of preserving and cherishing the natural world.

As I bid farewell to Iceland, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the incredible experiences and memories I had gained during my voyage. It was a journey that not only broadened my horizons but also reminded me of the wonders that await us when we step outside our comfort zone and embrace the unknown.
