The following facts are taken from the official survey.(опрос) 1. Almost50 per cent of British teenagers have a part-time job. The most popular jobs are working| in shops and stores (usually on Saturdays), doing a paper round (mornings, before school), or babysitting. 2. Nearly all teenagers claim(заявлять) they help with the housework. But most admit (признаваться) they only do it be¬cause they have to. 3. Two thirds(две трети) of those who were interviewed take part regularly in one or more sporting activities. Swimming is very popular with both sexes, while more than 40 per cent of boys play football. 4. Money is seen as a problem by most teenagers. Without it they can't buy clothes or CDs, or go to concerts, cinemas or discos. The majority (большинство) of girls, spend their pocket money on clothes; half the hoys spend it on CDs and DVDs. Three quarters (три четверти) of all teenagers try to save (копить) at least some money. 5 Most teenagers get along with (ладят с) their parents quite well. Although a lot of teenagers believe their parents are too strict (строгий), most agree that their parents offer (предлагать) help and support (поддерживать) in times of crisis. When there are arguments (споры), however, they are usually about what time they should come home at night, where they are going, and who they are going with. 6. Three thirds of teenagers admit (признаваться) they are not interested in politics. They are not fond of attending political meetings and believe that their thoughts and ideas are ignored by politicians. 7. The majority (большинство) of all teenagers agree that it is important to help old people and to improve the environment (окружающая срежа). However, only a small mi¬nority (меньшинство) actually do something themselves. 8. Over half of all teenagers are concerned about how they look or they are worried about the clothes they wear.
