Dear Anna,

I hope you are doing well and enjoying your summer vacation. I am writing to tell you about how I help my mother with the household chores.

As you know, my mother works full-time as a nurse, so she is often very busy and tired. That's why I try to do as much as I can to make her life easier. Every day, I do some basic tasks like making the bed, washing the dishes, taking out the trash, and feeding the cat. Sometimes, I also cook simple meals for us, like pasta or salad.

On weekends, I do more thorough cleaning, such as sweeping and mopping the floor, dusting the furniture, vacuuming the carpet, and wiping the windows. I also help my mother with the laundry, by sorting the clothes, loading and unloading the washing machine, and hanging them out to dry. Once a month, we also organize the closet and the kitchen cabinet, and get rid of the things we don't need.

I think doing household chores is a good way to show my mother that I appreciate and respect her. It also teaches me to be responsible and independent. I don't mind doing them, because I know they make our home more comfortable and pleasant.
