It is known that in one year, a European family with two children throws away about 50 kilos of paper (that`s six trees), and about 60 kilos of plastic. The Green World reports say that in one year the average person throws away: about 70 food cans, 34 cans of pet food and about 70 drink cans. But we don`t have to trow away all our waste paper,glass, metal and plastic. We can also burn or recycle a lot of it. In fact waste can be wonderful stuff. Many things that we throw away can still be useful. In fact its possible to recycle 80% of domestic rubbish. We can recycle most kinds of paper, glass, metal, and plastic. But only 4% of recyclable material is actually recycled. Recycling is expensive. But it saves and energy and protects the environment from pollution.

Многие страны погребают (хоронят) и забывают около миллиона тонн мусора каждый год. Известно, что за один год европейская семья с двумя детьми выбрасывает около 50 килограммов бумаги (это 6 деревьев) и около 60 килограммов пластика.
      В докладах Green World (Зеленого мира (типа, Гринпис, наверное) говорится, что за один год средний человек выбрасывает около 70  банок из под пищи, 34 банок от еды для животных и около 70 банок из-под напитков. Но нам не следует выбрасывать все  отходы бумажные, стеклянные, металлические и пластиковые. Мы можем также их сжечь или переработать многие из них. Это факт, что отходы - прекрасный материал. Многие вещи, которые мы выбрасываем могут быть использованы.  Фактически возможно переработать 80% домашнего мусора. Мы можем переработать большинство видов бумаги, стекла, металла и пластика. Но только 4% вторсырья перерабатывается в действительности. Переработка - очень дорогая. Но это спасет и энергию и защитит окружающую среду от загрязнения.
