It is a new neighborhood, and there are a lot of big detached houses, a few small terraced houses, and no flats. All of the houses have a small front yard but big back yards. Most of my neighbors have a swimming pool, but not me! The streets are very clean, and there aren’t many cars. People prefer to use their bikes because it’s a very quick and healthy way to get somewhere. There is a school bus, which children usually use to get to school. My school is near my house, so a walk there takes 10 minutes. There’s also a park which has a small playground for children and a large field. I like to play baseball there with my friends after school. Sometimes we have picnics there or take a boat to sail on a small lake. I spend a lot of time there because it’s a very beautiful and very quiet place. Sometimes I go there to read a book. I can’t do it at home because of my family. I have two brothers and a sister. We are very friendly, but sometimes they are too noisy. My road is called Maple Road. It is not in the city center. There aren’t any restaurants, bars or cinemas on my street. But, if you go to Main street, you can find a lot of things to do. My favorite shopping center is there. It’s called Knick-Knack, and they sell everything you can imagine. We like to go shopping for clothes with my best friend Emily, she can find really good things on a special offer. And it’s great because I’m not very rich. I like my neighborhood because it is very safe. There is no crime, and all of my neighbors take care of each other. The police station is next to my school, which is very nice. However, the hospital is quite far, and we have to drive 30 minutes to get there. But there are really great doctors. Last year I broke my hand when I was climbing a tree. The doctors were very careful and polite. Now, I can climb the trees again. My friends live near me, and we often meet up to play or just talk.
