My Eating Habits

My family prefers to have meals at home. I can cook very well and always help my mother in the kitchen. I can make vegetable and fruit salads, pies and pancakes with different tasty fillings. I like to get up early and help my mother with breakfast. For breakfast we usually have porridge, scrambled eggs, tea with sweet things. I am a student and spend a lot of time at school. From time to time I go to the school canteen. I take chops with boiled potatoes and some vegetable salad. When I don`t want to eat in the canteen I take some tasty things with. They can be fruits, a bun or a sandwich.

Of course, I enjoy my meal at home with my family on Saturdays and Sundays. My grandparents came from Korea. My mother, my younger sister and I like spicy dishes. But my father is from the Ukraine and he doesn`t like very spicy food. That is why we try to prepare different kinds of dishes of Russian, Korean and Ukrainian cuisine. Very often my mother cooks a soup-noodle according Korean recipe. It is very delicious and tasty. And I cook Ukrainian borsch. My father enjoys it. My sister lays the table with a nice tablecloth, clean plates, spoons, forks and knives. We sit down at the table together. My father smiles and makes jokes on me and my cooking abilities. I don`t feel offended with him, because he has a good sense of humor. He likes to say that eating at a restaurant is a waste of time and money. I completely agree with him.

"My Habits"

Habits are an integral part of our daily lives. They shape our routines, impact our productivity, and reflect our personalities. In this essay, I will share some of my habits, both good and bad.

One of my most essential habits is waking up early. I firmly believe in the saying, "The early bird catches the worm." Starting my day early gives me a head start and allows me to plan and organize my day efficiently. It provides me with a quiet and peaceful environment to focus on important tasks, be it studying, working, or simply having some quality "me" time.

I also have a habit of regular exercise. Whether it's hitting the gym, going for a run, or practicing yoga, I make it a point to stay physically active. Exercise not only keeps me fit and healthy but also boosts my mood and energy levels. It's a habit I've cultivated over the years, and it has become an essential part of my daily routine.

On the flip side, one of my less desirable habits is procrastination. Despite my best efforts, I often find myself putting off tasks until the last minute. This habit can be counterproductive and stressful, and I am actively working on improving it by setting deadlines and breaking tasks into smaller, manageable parts.

Another habit that I'm proud of is reading. I make time to read every day, whether it's a book, a newspaper, or an online article. Reading expands my knowledge, enhances my vocabulary, and helps me relax. It's a habit that I've cultivated since childhood, and it continues to be a source of joy and personal growth.

Lastly, I have a habit of practicing gratitude. Each day, I take a moment to reflect on the things I'm thankful for. It could be as simple as a beautiful sunset, a kind gesture from a friend, or a personal achievement. This habit keeps me grounded and helps me appreciate the beauty in everyday life.

In conclusion, our habits play a significant role in shaping our lives. While some habits are beneficial and contribute to our well-being, others can hinder our progress. By being mindful of our habits and actively working on improving them, we can lead more fulfilling and productive lives.
