There are about 3,000 species of snakes that have been discovered so far. Of course, that does not exist yet , researchers know of many species. Of these 3000 are about 400 - poisonous snakes . Of these, nearly 50 their venom can kill a person . Snakes are grouped by 18 families , what is in turn divided into species. Blindworm belong to the 3rd most primitive families. From other snakes , they differ little skull and the fact that their eyes or small, or coated cheshuey , or absent.
