A nice British girl brought her fiancé home to meet her parents. After dinner, her mother instructed her father to learn more about the young man. The father then invited the fiancé to his study for a drink. He inquired about the young man's future plans, to which the fiancé responded, "I was a Torah scholar." The father pondered for a moment and said, "A Torah scholar, hmm." He continued, "That's admirable, but how do you intend to provide a comfortable home for my daughter, as she's accustomed to?" The fiancé replied, "I will dedicate myself to my studies, and God will provide for us."
The father pressed further, asking, "And what about a beautiful engagement ring that she deserves? How will you afford that?" The fiancé reiterated, "I will focus on my studies, and God will provide for us." The conversation went on in a similar vein, with the father repeatedly questioning how the young man would support children, and each time, the fiancé responded, "Don't worry, sir, God will provide."
