Well first of all, we need to remember that stressing yourself out, forcing yourself to study late at night and then failing the test because of exhaustion, is definetly not the right way!

Second of all, you know yourself the best. So you need to have realistic rules that you can stick to, and if necessary, adjust those rules to suit you.

  • Fist and most basic rule: you need to have a schedule. Meaning - you need to write down when you'll have breaks for food, entertainment, ect.
  • Second of all: Whenever you read the material, write down the main things, dates, numbers. If you have trouble reading, then you can always search for audio books, or videos that can keep your atention on the topic for longer.
  • Third: Reward yourself! After a hard job that you don't like, reward yourself to make it a better experience and have positive associations with it.
  • Fourth: Take regular short breaks, use 20-20-20 rule, after every 20 minutes spent using a screen; you should try to look away at something that is 20 feet away from you for a total of 20 seconds. That rule will keep your eyes from hurting, which will make it much less of a pain to study.
  • Fifth: Do phisical activities! It may sound unrelated, but your physical health is connected to your mental heatlh, which means that after doing some basic workout, you'll be more relaxed and focused.

These are only some basic rules, but since you are the only person that knows you the best, you can add some other rules that you know will help you.
