Nowadays travelling is a popular activity among people. It is very interesting to see new places, another towns and countries. People like travelling and they travel a lot. They can travel for pleasure or on business.

 

There are different methods of travelling. You can travel by plane, by ship, by train or by car. Some people travel on foot.  You can go along little lanes where the fast car can’t go. You can wander through meadows, pass quite lakes and wonderful woods. Also you can see wild animals and flowers in the forest. You can feel the beauty of nature.  But I think, it’s not a very comfortable way of traveling, because you can get tired very quickly.

I’m very fond of travelling and I prefer to travel by train. I think it’s very pleasant. Especially if you have a comfortable seat in a railway carriage you can have a splendid view of the countryside. If the journey is long, you can sleep and have a good rest. Moreover, I consider, big railway stations are quite excited places. There are crowds of people, the porters pull the luggage along the platforms, and hungry passengers hurry to the refreshment rooms

My Journey with a Friend

Last summer, I had the most memorable journey of my life when I embarked on a thrilling adventure with my best friend. We decided to explore the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand, a country renowned for its natural beauty and diverse terrain.

Our journey began with an exhilarating hike through the picturesque Fiordland National Park. As we trekked along rugged trails and lush forests, we were awe-struck by the towering waterfalls and crystal-clear lakes that surrounded us.

After a few days of hiking, we made our way to Queenstown, the adrenaline capital of the world. Here, we challenged ourselves with bungee jumping and skydiving, and the rush of adrenaline brought us even closer together.

From Queenstown, we traveled to the captivating city of Auckland. The vibrant atmosphere, bustling markets, and impressive skyline made it an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed exploring the city's diverse culinary scene, trying new dishes and flavors.

One of the highlights of our journey was a road trip along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. Driving along the coastline, we encountered hidden beaches, charming coastal towns, and majestic cliffs, making numerous stops to capture the breathtaking scenery in photographs.

Next, we took a ferry to Waiheke Island, a paradise of vineyards and beaches. We spent a day savoring local wines and indulging in delicious cuisine while basking in the island's tranquility.

Continuing our journey, we visited the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua. The bubbling mud pools and erupting geysers fascinated us, and we also experienced the Maori culture, learning traditional dances and sharing stories around a mesmerizing bonfire.

Leaving the North Island, we headed to the South Island's West Coast. The rugged beauty of Punakaiki's Pancake Rocks left us in awe, and we enjoyed beachcombing along the wild coastline.

In our final days, we journeyed to Christchurch, where we explored the city's vibrant arts scene and experienced the resilience of the community after the devastating earthquake.

As our trip came to an end, we reflected on the unforgettable memories we created together. Our journey had strengthened our friendship and created a bond that would last a lifetime. New Zealand had left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we returned home with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the beauty of the world and the value of friendship.
