USA

United States of America is the fourth largest country in the world. They are located in the Central part of the North American continent and borders with Canada to the North and Mexico to the South. It is bordered by the Atlantic ocean on the East and the Pacific ocean to the West. The five Great lakes (Superior, Huron, Michigan, Erie, and Ontario) located in the North of the country.

The total area of the US is 9.5 million km2.

The capital is Washington, D.C. named after the first American President George Washington.

USA is the third largest of the world's population: 320 million people live there.

The country consists of 50 States, the largest is Alaska and the smallest Rhode island.

The Western part of the country is the Cordillera. The highest mountain with a summit mount McKinley (Denali national Park) (6,194 m) in Alaska.

The Mississippi river with a tributary Missouri is the longest river.
