When the frame of the roof is reade, a waterproof membrane is placed over it and it is held in place by battens ( long pieces of wood) that are nailed into the truss and are the supporting system for the tiled/ Tiles are then nailed to the wood. The top of the roof is finished off with ridge tiles that cover both sides of the roof's top row of tiles. Then the end of the wood at the bottom of the rood is covered by a fascia.
