Hello. My name is Helen. I would like to tell you about English-speaking countries.
You know, English is a language from Great Britain, but now it is using all over the world. Firstly, people speak English in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland). Secondly, English is a national language of Australia and New Zealand, because these countries were English colonies. Certainly, in the USA English is national language too.
I must say that now not only in English-speaking countries people speak English. This is international language, and people use it everywhere.

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests, and fellow language enthusiasts, I stand before you today to embark on a journey through the fascinating world of English-speaking countries. From the rolling hills of the United Kingdom to the vast landscapes of Canada and beyond, we'll explore the richness and diversity of these nations united by a common language.

Let us begin our voyage in the heart of England, where the English language found its roots. The United Kingdom, comprising England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, boasts a rich history that has shaped the course of human civilization. The birthplace of literary giants like William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, and Jane Austen, this land has contributed immeasurably to the world of literature, art, and culture.

As we venture across the Atlantic, we arrive at the land of the brave and the free – the United States of America. This sprawling nation, a melting pot of cultures and ideas, is a beacon of democracy and innovation. From the skyscrapers of New York City to the picturesque landscapes of the Grand Canyon, the U.S. captivates with its diversity and ambition.

Moving north, we encounter Canada, a land of stunning natural beauty, friendly people, and two official languages – English and French. From the majestic Rocky Mountains to the breathtaking Niagara Falls, Canada embraces its multicultural heritage and stands as a symbol of peace and cooperation.

Crossing the Pacific Ocean, we find ourselves in Australia, the land down under. Known for its unique wildlife, expansive outback, and iconic Sydney Opera House, Australia is a vibrant mix of indigenous history and modern multicultural society.

Not too far away, we reach New Zealand, a country of awe-inspiring landscapes, from the serene Fiordland National Park to the adrenaline-pumping activities in Queenstown. Kiwis, as the locals are affectionately called, take pride in their Maori heritage and their "number eight wire" mentality, symbolizing resourcefulness and ingenuity.

Journeying to the Caribbean, we encounter countries like Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago, where English is spoken alongside vibrant local dialects. The Caribbean's rich music, dance, and cuisine showcase the unique fusion of cultures that have shaped these picturesque islands.

Let us not forget the African nations, where English plays a significant role in communication and commerce. From Nigeria, with its booming film industry, Nollywood, to South Africa's diverse landscapes and struggle for equality, these countries have stories to tell and lessons to teach.

And finally, across the vast Indian Ocean, we arrive at the enchanting islands of Singapore and Malta, where English acts as a bridge between different communities and is essential for their thriving economies.

Throughout this journey, we see that English-speaking countries are not just defined by the language they speak. They are united by a shared pursuit of knowledge, progress, and mutual understanding. It is through this common language that ideas are exchanged, cultures are celebrated, and friendships are forged.

As we conclude this expedition through the English-speaking world, let us embrace the beauty of diversity and the power of communication that binds these nations together. For in understanding and appreciating one another, we can move towards a future of greater harmony and cooperation.

Thank you for joining me on this exploration, and may we continue to celebrate the global family of English-speaking countries and their contributions to our collective tapestry of humanity.
