New Year is the most long-awaited holiday. Many people associate it with magic and gifts. First of all it is surrounded by the wonderful smell of tangerines and Christmas trees, which helps to create a festive mood . People of all ages truly believe that in New Year their goals and wishes will come true.  New Year is an international holiday, but in every country it is celebrated in many different ways and each family has their own traditions. For example, in Australia, people celebrate the New Year on the beach or go on picnics with friends. In Italy, the New Year begins on January 6. Here people believe in the good fairy Befana, who gives stars and gifts for everyone. In Israel, people at on the New Year eat only sweets and avoid bitter food. In Spain on this day there is a tradition to swallow one grape for every time the bell chimes and make a wish.  On New Year my family and I decorate the house and the Christmas tree and give each other gifts, wishing success in the New Year.  New Year’s Eve is my favorite holiday and I always look forward to it.

Sure! Here's a story about a festive celebration called "Summer Carnival":

Once upon a time in the small town of Sunnyville, the residents eagerly awaited the arrival of summer. Every year, they celebrated the season with a grand Summer Carnival. The preparations began weeks in advance, as the townspeople worked together to create a joyous atmosphere.

On the day of the carnival, the streets were adorned with colorful banners and decorations. The air was filled with laughter and excitement as families gathered to partake in the festivities. The main square was transformed into a magical wonderland with brightly lit stalls, enticing aromas, and lively music playing in the background.

Children, dressed in their finest summer outfits, clutched their parents' hands as they explored the various attractions. There were thrilling rides, such as a Ferris wheel and a roller coaster, which sent shrieks of delight echoing through the air. The sound of carousel music enticed the young and old alike, as they hopped onto beautifully crafted horses and twirled around in circles.

The aroma of cotton candy, popcorn, and freshly baked goods wafted through the air, enticing everyone to indulge in delicious treats. Food stalls offered a wide variety of mouthwatering delights, from sizzling barbecues to ice cream sundaes topped with a rainbow of flavors. People savored these delights as they strolled through the carnival, enjoying the warm summer evening.

In one corner of the square, local artists showcased their talents. They painted intricate designs on eager children's faces, transforming them into fantastical creatures. Nearby, a group of musicians played lively tunes, their melodies filling the air with energy and joy. People danced and clapped to the music, their worries momentarily forgotten.

The highlight of the Summer Carnival was the grand parade. Colorful floats decorated with flowers, ribbons, and balloons paraded through the town, accompanied by marching bands and enthusiastic dancers. The crowd cheered and waved as the floats passed by, each representing a different aspect of summer: the beach, picnics, outdoor sports, and more.

As the sun began to set, the night sky came alive with a dazzling display of fireworks. The colorful explosions lit up the darkness, mesmerizing everyone with their beauty. The crowd gasped and applauded, their faces glowing with awe and delight.

The Summer Carnival in Sunnyville brought the community together, creating lasting memories and spreading happiness. It was a celebration of the carefree spirit of summer, reminding everyone of the joy that could be found in simple pleasures and shared experiences.

And so, year after year, the Summer Carnival continued to be a cherished tradition in Sunnyville, a testament to the power of celebration and the warmth of community spirit.
