1. There are several types of natural disasters. Here are five common ones:

   a. Earthquakes: Sudden and violent shaking of the Earth's surface, often caused by tectonic plate movement.

   b. Hurricanes or Typhoons: Powerful tropical storms with strong winds and heavy rainfall, known as hurricanes in the Atlantic and typhoons in the Pacific.

   c. Floods: Overflow of water onto normally dry land, often due to heavy rainfall or melting snow.

   d. Tornadoes: Violently rotating columns of air that can cause devastating damage when they touch the ground.

   e. Wildfires: Uncontrolled fires that spread rapidly through vegetation, often exacerbated by dry conditions and strong winds.

2. The most common natural disaster in my city is earthquakes. It is located in a seismically active region, and earthquakes of varying magnitudes occur from time to time. Building codes and preparedness measures are in place to minimize the damage and ensure public safety during seismic events.

3. Tsunamis are uncommon in my city. While it's not impossible for a tsunami to occur, my city is not located near the coast, and the geographical features do not make it prone to tsunamis. Nevertheless, local authorities and emergency services have plans in place to respond to such events, considering the potential risks associated with bodies of water in nearby regions.
