If you have a little free time and are willing to spend a certain amount, then you can enjoy wonderful excursions anywhere in your country or abroad.
I would like to tell you about my last trip to the charming city of Odessa. Our literature teacher suggested (la) us a few weeks ago to go on an excursion to this wonderful city. I was glad (a) not to miss this opportunity, because I always dreamed of such a trip. Our group was small - only ten students and a teacher.
We arrived there early in the morning, the weather was pleasant and warm. We left our luggage at the hotel, met with the guide and went for a walk around the city. Our guide, a middle-aged man, turned out to be a former history teacher and a very educated person, who told us a lot of facts about the history of Odessa. This city was founded in the fourteenth century on the shores of the Black Sea. There are two versions of the origin of the name of the city. According to one of them, the word "Odessa" was formed from the French word, which translates as "water". According to another version, the city is named after an ancient Greek colony that existed not far from the location of modern Odessa.
During our exciting two-day excursion, we visited the famous Opera and Ballet Theater, the Archaeological Museum, saw the statue of the Duke of Richelieu, climbed the Potemkin Staircase 142 meters long and, of course, visited the catacombs of Odessa. As for me, what impressed me most was the walk along the catacombs and the stories that the guide told about the heroic struggle of the inhabitants of the city against the German invaders during the Great Patriotic War. Unfortunately, during these two days, we did not have enough time to visit all the museums, and we did not enjoy swimming in the sea, because the weather was too cool for that. Two days flew by, and we had to get home. But for myself, I decided (la) that the next summer vacation I will spend directly in this wonderful city.

Certainly! Here's a short story about a trip to Odessa in English:
Last summer, I embarked on an exciting journey to the beautiful city of Odessa in Ukraine. The anticipation of exploring a new place filled me with enthusiasm, and my adventure began with a train ride from my hometown.
As the train rolled through the picturesque Ukrainian countryside, I couldn't help but admire the lush green landscapes and charming villages that passed by. The scenic beauty outside the window was a perfect prelude to what awaited me in Odessa.
Upon arriving in Odessa, I was immediately captivated by the city's unique blend of history and modernity. The first stop on my itinerary was the iconic Potemkin Stairs, a grand staircase that leads from the city center to the Black Sea. The view from the top was breathtaking, and I couldn't resist taking numerous photos of the bustling port below.
Next, I wandered through the enchanting streets of the Old Town, where I marveled at the well-preserved 19th-century architecture. The cozy cafes, colorful facades, and cobbled streets added to the city's charm. I couldn't resist indulging in some delicious Ukrainian cuisine at a local restaurant. Borscht, varenyky, and shashlik were just a few of the mouthwatering dishes I enjoyed.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater. The ornate building was a masterpiece of architecture, and I was fortunate to attend a stunning performance. The music, the elegant dancers, and the grandeur of the theater left me in awe.
Odessa's beaches were another delightful discovery. I spent a day relaxing on the sandy shores of the Black Sea, taking in the warm sun and enjoying the clear, blue waters. The vibrant beach scene, with people playing beach volleyball and sipping cocktails, created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.
My trip to Odessa was an unforgettable experience, filled with history, culture, and natural beauty. As I bid farewell to this charming city, I knew that I would carry the memories of my adventure with me forever. Odessa had left an indelible mark on my heart, and I hoped to return one day to explore even more of its wonders.
