She said to me that she hadn't gone to the party the day before

“Go and do your homework!” my mom told me.

My mom told me to go and do my homework

“She will be glad to see you,” I told them.

I told them that she would be glad to see them

“When do you have free time today?” I asked her.

I asked her when she had free time that day

“We were travelling around the world last year,” they said to me.

They said to me that they had been travelling around the world the previous year

Есть правило согласования времён.

В косвенной речи меняются временные указатели, личные, указательные, объектные местоимения, притяжательные прилагательные(в зависимости от контекста):

this/these ----> that/those          yesterday ---> the previous day

I/we ----> he/she/they                 here ---> there

me/us ---> him/her/them            last week ---> the previous week

my ---> his/her                             today ---> that day

our ---> their                                 tomorrow ---> the following day

Если нужно переделать предложение на прошлое время(told/said), то нужно знать согласование времён:

Present Simple ---> Past Simple

Present Continuous ---> Past Continuous

Present Perfect ---> Past Perfect

Past Simple ---> Past Perfect

Future Simple ---> Future in the past

Past Continuous ---> Past Perfect Continuous

Тоесть если в предложении вы замечаете Present Simple, то чтобы переделать его в косвенную речь(Reported Speech), вы должны посмотреть в таблицу согласования и понять, что предложение нужно переписать в Past Simple, а также всё остальное смоятря на контекст.

Если менять нужно вопрос, то вместо that пишется if или whether(всё равно что именно, оно на выбор), а дальше ставится действующая особа, а потом предложение с согласованием времени.

Приказы и просьбы(такие как Go and do your homework!) не требуют изменения времени, просто после особы нужно поставить to и далее глагол
