This is a part of a letter you’ve got from an English penfriend. I’ve just moved to a new school

and everything’s different. I haven’t got any friends here and I feel like I don’t fit in. Any advice? Write your letter giving advice to your friend (about 100 words).

Dear [Name],

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a tough time at your new school. It's totally normal to feel out of place when you first start somewhere new, but I understand it can be really hard.

My advice would be to try and get involved in activities or clubs that interest you. This way, you can meet people who share the same hobbies or passions as you do. You could also try initiating conversations with your classmates and getting to know them better. Remember, they are probably feeling just as nervous and unsure as you are.

Don't be too hard on yourself, it takes time to adjust to a new environment. Just keep an open mind and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. Things will get better with time.

Best of luck!

Sincerely,

[Your Name]

Dear [Friend's Name],

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling out of place at your new school. Moving to a new environment can indeed be challenging, but don't worry, I've got some advice for you. First and foremost, be open and friendly to your classmates. Smile and initiate conversations, showing interest in getting to know them. Joining clubs or extracurricular activities can also be a great way to meet people with similar interests. Don't hesitate to ask for help or guidance from teachers or school staff—they can often provide valuable support and introduce you to other students. Remember, fitting in takes time, so be patient and give yourself a chance to adjust. You'll find your place soon enough.

Best of luck, and remember that I'm here for you.

Warm regards, [Your Name]
