My name is Maria and I’m a teenager.
I’m 15 years old. In fact, children aged
13 to 19 are considered to be teenagers.
In my opinion, it is one of the best
periods of life. Although, there are, of
course, some advantages and
disadvantages of this age group. It isn’t
always easy to be a teenager. Boys and
girls often meet their first love when
they are teenagers. This type of love can
be unhappy. Many teenagers start
smoking and drinking alcohol, which is
not good at all. They simply don’t know
how unhealthy it can be. This way they
want to look older and more mature. I
think this is the age when parents should
keep an eye on their children to help
them overcome such problems. In many
countries, teenagers have jobs while they
are still at school. It is a good way to
keep busy. When teens do something
useful and have interesting hobbies, they
are less seen in bad companies. Of
course, these jobs are not full-time
because pupils should also attend their
classes during the day. Part-time jobs are
a good solution in this situation. One of
my English pen-friends does a part-time
job. She wakes up early and delivers
newspapers in the neighborhood. Then,
she goes to school. It’s a low-paid job but
she still likes it. At least, she gets some
pocket money. I wish I could do
something similar in my town.
Unfortunately, I almost don’t have any
free time. I’m now at a high school and I
study hard to pass the exams. Other than
that, I attend special IT workshops for
my future career. In the end, when I
have some free time left I read books.
Reading is one of my favourite hobbies.
As you see, unlike many teenagers, I have no time for bad habits.

Меня зовут Андрей, мне 16 лет. Я живу в небольшом городке на юге России. Я учусь в школе и люблю играть на гитаре. Моя семья - самая важная в моей жизни, и я очень люблю своих родителей и младшего брата. В свободное время я также люблю играть в футбол с друзьями и смотреть фильмы.

Я очень увлечен музыкой, и моя гитара - мой лучший друг. Я люблю играть разные стили музыки, от классического до рока. Мне нравится играть на улице и на концертах, и я мечтаю стать профессиональным музыкантом.

Кроме музыки, я также увлекаюсь спортом. Я играю в футбол с друзьями и иногда хожу на тренировки в спортивный клуб. Я люблю чувствовать себя здоровым и сильным, и спорт помогает мне достичь этого.

My family is the most important thing in my life, and I love my parents and younger brother very much. In my free time, I also love playing football with friends and watching movies.

I am very passionate about music, and my guitar is my best friend. I love playing different styles of music, from classical to rock. I enjoy playing on the street and at concerts, and I dream of becoming a professional musician.

In addition to music, I am also interested in sports. I play football with friends and sometimes go to training at a sports club. I like feeling healthy and strong, and sports help me achieve that.
