also mean nice food, present and a lot of fun. Russian people like them too. Here are some traditional holidays and festivals they celebrate. 1 January – New Year’s Day 14 February – St Valentine’s Day March or April – Easter Festival 7 January – Christmas The beginning of a new year is a time for celebrating and for making a new start. People wish each other "Happy New Year" and send special greeting card. On New Year’s Eve (December 31st) many people go to parties with their families, neighbours and friends.
